SunnyAI Referral Program Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to the SunnyAI Referral Program (“Referral Program”), operated by SunnyAI, Inc. (“SunnyAI”). By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to these Terms

SunnyAI reserves the right to modify or terminate the Referral Program at any time, with or without notice. Any changes will be posted on the SunnyAI website or in the referral portal.

1. Program Overview

The Referral Program is designed to reward existing SunnyAI customers (“Participants”) for referring new homeowners (“Referees”) who install a solar energy system through SunnyAI and Castaways Energy.

Unless otherwise noted, the Referral Program runs from July 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025 (“Promotional Period”).

2. Participant Eligibility

To participate, you must:

  • Be a current SunnyAI customer with a completed solar installation
  • Have an active account in good standing
  • Have received your referral link from SunnyAI (via email or dashboard)

You are not eligible if:

  • You purchased a system through a wholesale retailer or third-party reseller
  • You are an employee, affiliate, contractor, or immediate family member of a SunnyAI employee or partner

3. Referee Eligibility

Referees must:

  • Be 18 or older and a legal resident of a U.S. state where SunnyAI services are available
  • Own the residence where the solar system will be installed
  • Not already be in contact with SunnyAI or Castaways Energy through another marketing or sales channel

Referees must complete installation within one year of being referred. Leads do not expire, but referrals must be valid at the time of installation to be eligible for rewards.

4. How to Refer

To qualify for the Referral Reward:

  • You must use your unique SunnyAI referral link to share with friends, family, or the public
  • Referees must use your link to sign up for their custom solar plan
  • Referrals submitted through non-authorized channels (e.g., phone, SMS, word of mouth) may not be eligible
  • The first referrer to submit a referee will receive the reward, as determined by submission timestamp

You may refer to multiple people. There is no limit to the number of referrals you can make.

5. Reward Details

For Referrers:

  • You will receive $1,000 for each valid referral who installs a solar system
  • Reward is typically issued within 30-60 days of verified installation
  • If the referee cancels, delays, or does not complete installation, the reward is nullified
  • Rewards will be issued as prepaid gift cards (non-transferable, not redeemable for cash)
  • SunnyAI may require a completed W-9 and will issue a 1099 if rewards exceed $600 in a calendar year

For Referees:

  • Referees will receive:
    • $3,000 discount when leasing a system
    • $1,000 discount when purchasing a system
  • Reward is typicalled issues within 30-60 days of verified installation.Discounts are applied directly to the solar agreement upon contract execution
  • Rewards will be issued as prepaid gift cards (non-transferable, not redeemable for cash)

Both referrer and referee accounts must be in good standing at the time of reward distribution.

6. Fraud & Disqualification

SunnyAI reserves the right to disqualify any Participant or Referee if:

  • Fraudulent, false, or misleading information is submitted
  • The referral link is used in a way that violates these Terms
  • Spamming, mass solicitation, or unethical behavior is detected

SunnyAI may revoke rewards and ban participation in future programs if abuse is found.

7. Liability & Limitations

SunnyAI provides no warranties, express or implied, related to reward use or participation in the program. Rewards are provided "as-is."

SunnyAI is not responsible for:

  • Technical malfunctions or delays
  • Misrouted or incomplete submissions
  • Any injury or damage resulting from participation

8. Governing Law & Arbitration

This Referral Program is governed by the laws of the State of California. All disputes must be resolved through binding individual arbitration under the rules of JAMS. You waive your right to participate in class actions or jury trials.

9. Privacy

Information submitted during the Referral Program will be handled in accordance with SunnyAI’s Privacy Policy.
